Key duties include identifying and capturing new business opportunities, reviewing proposals and pricing, and ensuring contract and financial compliance. The Director will act as the recognized insurance expert, driving transformational change, mentoring account teams, and overseeing monthly revenue and expense analysis, budgeting, and staffing plans. Onsite leadership will be provided both at Guidehouse and client locations.
Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services sector is seeking a Director to lead its largest insurance industry accounts. The role involves up to 50% travel and does not require a security clearance.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and possess at least ten years of insurance industry experience, including recent consulting leadership and in‑house roles. They should have a deep network in commercial insurance, the ability to manage a $2 million‑$20 million book of business, and expertise in technology and operations optimization, process automation, and change management. Proficiency in project management, budgeting, Excel, PowerPoint, and strong communication skills are required, with a preference for candidates in the NYC metro area; DC candidates must travel up to 75 % to NYC.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, PMP certification, and experience leading large‑scale technology implementations.
The position offers a salary range of $197,000 to $328,000, with compensation determined by factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and other business needs.
