Civil EIT/Coordinator

Description

Each role at HDR contributes to changing the world for the better, and the Civil EIT/Coordinator position is no exception. This role supports civil engineering infrastructure projects and collaborates with city and district engineers, clients and project teams.

• Perform design calculations and prepare detailed designs for various civil engineering infrastructure projects under professional engineer supervision.
• Conduct construction management tasks such as submittal review, pay estimate review, progress tracking, progress meetings, and respond to RFIs and change orders.
• Support City and District Engineers with development platting, plan reviews, issue assessment, and preparation of information and exhibits for public meetings.
• Collect field data, create preliminary engineering reports, technical memorandums, and deliver public/client presentations.

Requirements

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (or placement in Design Coordinator role with expectation to obtain EIT).
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; experience with Bentley ConceptStation, Autodesk InfraWorks, Civil 3D, and specialty platforms such as OpenFlows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Interest or experience in analyzing and designing water‑focused systems.
• Experience with BIM, numerical modeling, simulation, and automation tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
