Description
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clear understanding of tasks and responsibilities.
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and shop personnel to support project needs.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Follow welding procedures and specifications to ensure high-quality welds.
Maintain accurate records of welding activities and quality checks.
Perform basic welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, on steel components.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings based on material and project requirements.
Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
Ensure welding tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
Participate in safety training and drills to stay current with best practices.
Assist in the layout and assembly of components to be welded.
Report any safety incidents or near-misses to the supervisor immediately.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
Identify and repair defects in welds, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
