Health Safety Environment Advisor

Description

• Recommend corrective measures and ensure effective implementation.
• Support continuous improvement of site safety culture through proactive engagement and leadership.
• Review and assess all contractor safety documentation, including RAMS and project-specific safety plans.
• Document findings, track close-out actions, and report HSE performance metrics.
• Ensure all contractors adhere to project HSE procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct detailed risk reviews and identify gaps in contractor submissions.
• Ensure full compliance with all statutory Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Support the implementation of the project’s safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage and coordinate contractors to ensure safe and compliant execution of works.
• Perform regular site audits and inspections to verify compliance with statutory and project requirements.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5+ years’ experience in a construction HSE role, strong communication skills, proven experience on large pharmaceutical projects, and an in-depth understanding of construction health & safety requirements in Ireland.

Our client is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a large-scale pharmaceutical construction project in Limerick. Reporting to the Project HSE Director, the successful candidate will join an experienced HSE team working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

NB: Only candidates with a valid working visa or EU citizenship will be considered.

• Thorough knowledge of Irish construction health & safety legislation.
• 5+ years’ experience in Health & Safety roles within the construction sector.
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working on large-scale pharmaceutical projects (essential).
