In this role you will conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities, discuss identified liabilities with the transaction team, and help clients with post‑transaction integration. You may also assist clients in maintaining regulatory compliance and improving ESG and sustainability performance.
Key responsibilities include performing environmental due‑diligence reviews—desktop analysis, site visits, management interviews, and preparation of ASTM‑compliant Phase I ESA reports—supporting compliance across hazardous waste, wastewater, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and Community Right‑to‑Know programs, traveling to facilities for inspections, managing multiple high‑quality project deliverables, contributing to proposals and cost estimates, and mentoring junior team members.
The Lead Consultant position is hybrid‑based in our Dublin, Ohio office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; no sponsorship is available.
We seek candidates who want to develop excellence within an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering community, and who are motivated to make a difference for employees, clients, and society by creating sustainable change.
Candidates should hold a B.S. in a relevant engineering or science discipline (civil, environmental, chemical, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology); an advanced degree is a plus. At least five years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for industrial sites is required, with additional experience in contaminated‑site investigation, emerging contaminants, health and safety, or ESG considered beneficial. The role demands a driver’s license, ability to travel on short trips, strong written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to translate technical issues for clients.
We offer commitment to your professional development, challenging projects at the cutting edge of the profession, leadership guided by our Principles, an inclusive culture that celebrates each individual, and the long‑term stability of a foundation‑owned firm.
Ramboll welcomes diversity in all its forms and encourages applicants from all groups to apply. We provide flexible work arrangements and reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities; please contact us with any request.
The role’s base salary is expected to be between $81,515 and $101,894 annually, subject to experience, location, internal equity, market conditions, and other factors; additional compensation such as bonuses or overtime may apply.
