Surveyor In Training (SIT)

Description

• Produce subdivision, ALTA, topographic, and other survey maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research boundary and easement title documents and perform boundary analysis.
• Create surveys from field crew data, sketches, photos, and reference maps.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right-of-way, easements, and acquisition parcels.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

Kimley-Horn’s Celina, Texas office is looking for a Surveyor in Training (SIT) with at least two years of experience to join its survey team. The role focuses on producing detailed survey maps and supporting right-of-way and easement projects. Candidates will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D and collaborate with field crews.

• Hold an Associate’s degree or complete 32 hours of survey‑related coursework.
• Be a certified SIT eligible for RPLS within two years.
• Possess working knowledge of Civil 3D and prior relevant surveying experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication and technical skills.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
