Overview

Manage installation and integration of complex security systems for commercial clients.

Tasks

-Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation -Configure unmanaged network POE switches, and work with managed switches with the customer IT department -Use technical manuals and interface with manufacturer’s technical support to troubleshoot problems -Mentor and develop installers assigned to your team with lesser knowledge and experience -Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company’s mission and values -Use test equipment such as multimeter’s, cable testers, and toners to test and repair circuits and sensors while following wiring and system specifications -Read and understand Division 28 construction documents to determine installation methods and requirements, and attending job site meetings as required. -Configuring network devices -Provide daily and weekly reports to Brady management -Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping -Interface with customer personnel developing relationships and demonstrating systems; providing training as needed -Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures -Turnkey installation of mid-size to large complex systems for access control, CCTV, intercom, intrusion, and fire alarm following architectural drawings of electrical layouts and building plans under division 28 -Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, and floors of varied material types -Wiring of our installed systems conforming to NEC70 -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices

What You Bring

-Occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; and constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. -Must possess 2 or more manufacturer certifications in access control that are current -Must possess OSHA 30 -3+ years of maintenance or installation experience in security systems or relevant field -Knowledge of networking LAN, WAN and mesh devices -Able to run horizontal and vertical EMT & ENT conduit per NEC70 -High school or general education degree (GED) -Material handling demands include lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the Medium Heavy Physical Demand Classification (PDC). -Must possess a valid driver’s license -Ability to prove US employment eligibility -CCTV: Exacq, Milestone, Video Insight, Avigilon, or similar systems -Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6 IP addresses, MAC ID’s, and how they interact with servers and field devices -Must be able to talk and hear. -Familiarity with applicable software such as -Proficiency with computer devices (including smart phones) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS software -Ability to pass drug screening -Access Control: Open Options, Software House, Amag, S2, Kantech, Brivo, or similar systems -Must possess 1 or more manufacturer certifications in CCTV systems that are current -Fire Alarm: Firelite, Vigilant, EST, Simplex, Autocall, or similar systems -Ability to carry, set up, and work off of A-frame and extension ladders. -Ability to pass a background check for North Carolina State Alarm Licensing -Must possess North Carolina Alarm Registrant within 30-days of hire -Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
