The role also involves carrying out site inspections and audits, delivering training programmes to up‑skill staff, promoting sustainability and circular economy goals across the business, and mentoring apprentices and graduates.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in an environmental discipline or have equivalent experience, with a proven track record of managing environmental risks and delivering pragmatic solutions. Strong collaboration skills, experience in people management, and the ability to work within a process‑driven environment are essential. Bonus qualifications include chartership with CIWEM or CIEEM, specialist backgrounds such as archaeology or arboriculture, habitat restoration experience, knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain, and strong report‑writing and data presentation abilities.
