Coordinates work of subcontractors needed for operations and preventative maintenance.
In consultation with the Project Manager make recommendations concerning the hiring, promotion, and termination of plant staff.
Maintains liaison with architects, engineers, and contractors/subcontractors engaged in renovation, or other major projects.
Advise, discuss, and inform Client Facilities Staff members on physical plant matters and problem areas.
Provide administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff in completing work assignments.
Provide oversight to the operations of the Central Plants, associated equipment, building equipment, BAS, and other assigned duties.
Oversees policies, procedures, protocols, and controls that govern operations.
Responsible for maintaining a strong, trained, and disciplined workforce.
Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources and maintains proper inventory control, maintenance, and consumable supplies.
Maintains sufficient records, files, controls, and procedures to ensure management and work production.
Ensure all equipment is fully operational at all times and in compliance with government requirements, DC, federal codes/laws, rules and regulations.

Seven (7) or more years experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:
Ability to work independently or as member of a team.
Ability to work with management systems and variety of skilled/unskilled, professional, administrative, and industry personnel.
Experience and knowledge of office administration, plant management, reporting, blueprints, buildings, equipment, housekeeping, construction, repair, maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, fire, safety management, and OSHA codes.
Strong experience with Windows and MS Office.
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of facilities activities.
DC 1 st Class Operating Engineering license
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
Ability to organize and lead a group of people.
Periodic reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
Candidate must be able to obtain a HSPD-12 clearance.
Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities.
General working knowledge of CMMS systems.
Demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships.
Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues.
