Position Summary: Qualified candidates must have experience with high-end custom millwork and have an innate passion for their work product.Millworkers are required to know how to build countertops and build casework - both are vital to the fabrication of reception units and diewalls. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Have a full understanding of shop drawings and ability to read blueprints; know how to relate the elevations, plan views, and detail (section cut) views together in order to complete a project requirements and accurately read a tape measure. Sand solid woods and veneers using pneumatic sanders as well as hand sanding. Verify drawing and part dimensions before assembling projects. Able to create jigs for many different applications, including routing reveals, arcs, radiuses, wall plates, wood profiles, etc. Identify different species of wood (solids and veneers). Fabricate solid surface material (i.e. Corian). Apply plastic laminate to flat and radius vertical surfaces without causing bubbles and making sure that the joints are tight. Capable of leading a team through the processes of fabricating diewalls, wall panel systems, standing and running trim projects, display cases, nurse stations, reception desks, etc Have your own tools or ability to obtain tools as indicated on the tool list (see page 2). Have a strong ability to solve problems regarding machining mistakes, unclear shop drawings, etc. in order to complete projects in a timely manner. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment. Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with the company's safety and health regulations.
