

Produces construction materials for infrastructure projects, including aggregates, cement, and asphalt.
Key duties include operating equipment safely and efficiently, performing pre‑shift safety inspections, conducting preventative maintenance, reporting needed repairs, ensuring proper cargo loading, maintaining equipment housekeeping, assisting with plant maintenance and other equipment, and adhering to MSHA and plant safety regulations while working with minimal supervision.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, a working knowledge of heavy construction equipment, at least one year of related experience (haul‑truck experience is a plus), and familiarity with a variety of hand tools.
The role requires the ability to work 10‑12‑hour shifts, including nights (6 pm‑6 am), weekends, overtime, and holidays; read equipment manuals and gauges; complete inspection reports; perform basic mathematical calculations; wear required safety gear; communicate via CB radio or hand signals; and function safely in a team‑oriented environment.
Physical demands include good hand‑eye coordination, depth perception up to 150 feet, climbing on and off equipment, bending, stooping, squatting, and sitting for long periods, lifting up to 50 lb, and operating outdoors in all weather conditions with noise levels up to 85 dB.
Larger equipment is typically air‑conditioned, but occasional outdoor assignments may require work in extreme temperatures, heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty environments, and at various heights.
