As a CBRE AR Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for advanced clerical accounting duties. This includes complex processing payable and receivable transactions, paying invoices, account recording, and reconciliations.

This job is part of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function. They are responsible for reviewing and paying invoices and cash management activities such as reconciliation and bank account reviews.

  • Review bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements. Ensure order forms and invoices have the correct information.
  • Reconcile records with internal employees, management, external vendors, and customers.
  • Resolve questionable or irreconcilable differences and escalate vendor or invoice issues. Report issues to management.
  • Provide informal training and coaching to coworkers.
  • Verify and posts details of business transactions. Prepare reports for transaction validation.
  • Prepare and maintain journal entries, ledgers, and take part in month-end reporting.
  • Process transactions such as disbursements, expense vouchers, cash receipts.

  • Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval.
  • High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
  • An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.
  • General math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.
