Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation.
Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.
Prepare construction and design cost estimates.
Build and oversee staff
Production of contract documents including plans, specifications and opinions of probable construction costs (OPCCs).
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing large and small diameter water and wastewater pipelines.

Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies.
Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines.
Preferably 15 years or more (minimum of 12 years of experience) in water/wastewater projects with demonstrated background with JEA on linear stand-alone pipeline and utility relocation projects. Pumping station and treatment plant project experience are a plus.
Horizontal Directional Drill experience is a plus
Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
FL PE License is required.
Ability to work independently.
