Quantity Surveyor-MEP

Description

Prepare cost plans at different design stages including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development. Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, support value engineering exercises, collect market quotations, and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.

Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes. Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.

Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.

• Develop cost plans across concept, schematic and design‑development phases.

• Gather market quotes and aid in tender estimation and reporting.
• Execute procurement duties: prepare pre‑qualification docs, manage tender schedules and events, issue documents, evaluate bids and draft reports.
• Work with standard contracts (e.g., FIDIC, CPWD) and help compile final contract documents.
• Produce interim payment recommendations and oversee change‑control and cost‑control records.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cash‑flow forecasts, variation valuations and risk allowance monitoring.
• Apply knowledge of construction methods to assess cost impacts of materials and labour.

Requirements

Minimum 8-10 years experience.

Carry out procurement related tasks such as preparing PQ documentation, maintaining tender schedules, managing tender events, issuing documentation, evaluating tenders and drafting tender reports. Experience in working with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, CPWD) and assisting in compiling final contract documents.

Should be proficient in CAD, Cost‑X (quantity take‑off tools) and other quantification/estimation software.

Good skills on MS Excel and Word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
