Requirements

Sol‑Up is hiring a Solar Technician – Electrician to join its Service team under the Operations Manager. The role focuses on servicing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across rooftops, ground‑mounted sites, and other installations, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and local codes. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical experience, solar installation background, and a passion for renewable energy.

The position requires working in extreme outdoor environments, including hot sun, ladders, roofs, and confined spaces, and handling loads up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be comfortable at heights, possess a clean driving record with reliable transportation, and be authorized to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 years of solar electrical installation and repair experience.
• Licensed electrician; OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, schematics, and conduit sizing.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools required for electrical work.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Clean driving record, valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work at heights on rooftops using proper safety equipment.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Authorized to work in the United States and pass background/drug screening.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $28 to $32 per hour, dependent on experience, with eligibility for discretionary performance bonuses.
