As a Product Lifecycle Engineer reporting to the Valve Design Team Leader in the Valve Engineering Department, you will join a highly motivated, dynamic team focused on HVDC applications. The role centers on managing material data and Bill of Materials within SAP, while serving as the interface between engineering output and sourcing, procurement, quality, and commercial functions. You will ensure accurate conversion of information and timely release of materials to meet project procurement deadlines, leading cross‑functional meetings throughout the project life cycle.
- Lead product lifecycle scope
- Lead MoD review meetings
- Deliver valve product costing at tender stage
- Lead Cost to Completion during project phase
- Create standard material masters from engineering data and advise on material structure
- Create contract‑specific material data
- Input project plan data from operations (delivery dates and conditions)
- Create and maintain purchase requisitions for Valve Structure PP10 procurement (Project Builder)
- Create and maintain EASY purchase requisitions / IST interface
- Maintain material masters and project module on an ongoing basis
- Review procedures and practices
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Create and maintain project‑specific SAP Bill of Materials
- Maintain project‑specific KPIs
- Prepare training material as required
- Train key users
- Develop new methods to automate and reduce lead time from engineering definition to procurement
- Support key users with daily troubleshooting
- Run SAP reports to support business functionality

The ideal candidate has proven experience with SAP master data or procurement processes and substantial exposure to valve products in HVDC projects. You must work quickly and efficiently within an engineering team, possess an inquisitive mindset, and be driven to continuously improve standards and working methods. Strong communication, technical documentation, and the ability to lead small groups of engineers are essential.
- Proven experience with SAP master data and/or procurement functions
- Significant exposure to valve products in HVDC applications
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently within an engineering team
- Inquisitive mindset with a desire to learn new skills, especially HVDC engineering
- Competence in SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of valve product definition
- Practical experience with industrial systems
- Fluency in English
- EHS compliance awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in power electronics industry
- Ability to coordinate and lead small groups of engineers
