The Trimble Technician operates and maintains Trimble technology on construction projects, using GPS, total stations, and 3D laser scanning to improve efficiency and accuracy. The role works closely with project managers and engineers to ensure effective utilization of Trimble systems and to meet project goals and timelines.
- Operate Trimble GPS, total station, and 3‑D laser scanning systems for construction layout, as‑built surveys, and machine control.
- Set up and calibrate Trimble equipment on construction sites.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure proper function and longevity of Trimble gear.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Trimble systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to integrate Trimble technology with other construction tools.
- Attend training and stay current on new Trimble software and hardware.
- Verify layout accuracy using tape measures and known reference points.
- Install stakes or other markers to identify layout points.
- Apply basic mathematical operations for labor, material, and cost estimates.

The position is based in a professional office environment with standard equipment, while field work occurs indoors in climate‑controlled settings with minimal noise. The job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing and the ability to lift items up to 50 pounds, as well as good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

- Demonstrate strong technical skills and ability to learn Trimble software and hardware.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Possess working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
- Have thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, engineering, cost control, schedules, and safety.
- Hold a valid Florida driver’s license in good standing.
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English at a 12th‑grade level.
- Possess two or more years of construction industry experience (preferred).
- Have beginner experience with AccuBid, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and PlanGrid (preferred).
- Hold OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
- Be bilingual (preferred).
