In the Global Coatings Division, you will prepare products and materials for the galvanizing process by hanging angle on spreader bars, staging tubular products, and readying small parts for galvanizing.
- Inspect and identify unsafe production fixtures, chains, and hooks; ensure repair or discard.
- Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking.
- Move lightweight steel pieces by hand within the plant and yard.
- Perform paddling functions using air guns to remove zinc needles from galvanized products.
- Use air or electric tools to prepare steel for pickling or galvanizing.
- Assist with general plant cleanup and housekeeping.
- Work safely, protecting self and others from accidents and injury.
- Maintain positive interaction with coworkers.

The role requires the ability to read and follow instructions, accurately use a tape measure, communicate needs to supervisors, and lift up to 50 lb. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of experience in galvanizing, hand‑tool use, and bridge‑crane operation, while maintaining a high safety awareness.
- Hand‑wire small to medium parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing.
- Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Accurately read a tape measure.
- Communicate problems or needs to supervision.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum six months experience in galvanizing and hand‑tool use.
- Experience operating a bridge crane.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
