Project Analyst

Description

• Assist in developing mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
• Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
• Facilitate project meetings and document action items.
• Collect and analyze project data from various sources like timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential project risks.
• Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Analyze project management processes and identify areas for optimization.
• Generate reports and visualizations to present insights to project managers and stakeholders.
• Develop and update project knowledge databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Communicate project status updates to stakeholders effectively.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying potential deviations and risks.
• Recommend improvements to project management methodologies and tools.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on project status.
• Identify and lead initiatives to develop automation of processes and reporting.

Requirements

• Experience using Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of/experience supporting the U.S. Navy SSP Strategic Weapons System.
• Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
• 4+ years of experience as a project analyst supporting projects of varying size with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or other technical field.
• Understanding of project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and critical path analysis.
• Strong ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• PMP or CAPM certification.
