Perform/supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs
Provide oversight and direction to junior engineering staff
Perform/supervise load ratings on bridges of various type size and complexity
Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule and project constraints
Organize and maintain project files
Review shop drawings and other construction related submittals
Attend meeting with clients and other professionals and organizations

Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Florida
Knowledge of AASHTO and other pertinent bridge design specifications
Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures
Technical expertise for the layout & design of bridges and related highway structures

Post-tensioned concrete design experience a plus
Skilled in the use of MicroStation and AutoCAD, experience with OpenBridge Designer a plus
Valid driver’s license.
A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master of Engineering preferred, but not required
Extensive experience utilizing FDOT specific processes, manuals, or guidance on bridge projects is required, 10 years minimum
10 - 15 years of engineering experience in bridge design
