Oversee and manage third-party engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners, ensuring adherence to technical quality, project schedules, and budget expectations.
Serve as the primary technical interface between Siemens internal teams and external EPC firms, ensuring a seamless and integrated project execution approach.
Review and validate engineering deliverables, procurement packages, and construction plans provided by external partners.
Coordinate closely with internal engineering, sales, project management, and procurement teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.
Support site development activities, permitting processes, and field engineering coordination during construction.
Oversee all technical aspects of substation design, including electrical systems, mechanical layouts, protection & control systems, and civil/structural elements.
Drive technical risk identification and mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to ensure technical accuracy and competitiveness in customer proposals.
Manage and review detailed civil designs, including site preparation, grading, foundations, structural steel, control buildings, access roads, drainage, and fencing.
Take ownership of the civil design and construction scope, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across all project stages.
Lead the turnkey execution of substation projects from conceptual design through commissioning and project close-out.
Assist in the development of turnkey substation proposals, including scope definition, technical solutioning, preliminary design work, and cost estimation.

Proficiency with design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or PLS-CADD.
Proficient in developing and interpreting civil, structural, and electrical drawings with strong technical documentation skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure.
Excellent project management and communication abilities with willingness to travel as needed
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience in high/medium-voltage substation design and construction
Proven track record coordinating internal teams and EPC partners on complex infrastructure projects
Knowledge of Siemens substation equipment and systems is a plus.
Familiarity with permitting processes, environmental regulations, and construction management practices.
Expert knowledge in substation civil/structural design and industry standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC, ASCE)
Experience with EPC contracting models and working with major utility or renewable energy customers.
Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120,540 - $206,640 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
