Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, machines, and vehicles including skid steers, scrappers, motor graders, excavators, wood chippers, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.
Performs diagnostic inspections as needed.
Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical and suspension systems, wheels, tires and undercarriages
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintains complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs.

Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to perform fabrication and welding processes.
Works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
5 years of heavy equipment/ diesel mechanic experience is required.
Experience working in a construction setting is highly preferred.
Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
