- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial performance against benchmarks
- Ensure timely and accurate financial data entry and reporting using accounting software and spreadsheets
- Assist with audit preparation, including compiling schedules and documentation for external auditors
- Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making across departments
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting laws, practices, and regulations
- Strengthen and monitor internal accounting controls and procedural compliance
- Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports for management and stakeholders
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Assist in the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing
- Communicate clearly with senior management, providing financial updates and strategic input as needed
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience; experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity is a plus
- Certified in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Certified in accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Knowledge of construction accounting, Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, forecasting and budgeting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
- Prior experience in plumbing, construction, or trades-related industry is a plus.
