- Mentor field technicians and project management staff on constructability of larger complex builds
- On occasion the employee may move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Capture lessons learned and update STC field execution standards and digital workflows.
- Frequently descending / ascending stairs and ladders to access equipment
- Enforce QA/QC checkpoints for installation and automation scope
- Identify scope gaps, draft RFIs, and prepare field change orders for project managers
- Manage site project communication and reporting including site progress updates, 3-week lookaheads, and multimedia collection for DLB staff, subcontractors and vendors
- Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Energized Work Permits; manage live system cutovers
- Lead progress walks and present risk mitigation plans to GC and owner executives during site walks.
- Manage testing documentation and help drive issue closure with technical staff to ensure schedule compliance
- Direct and monitor subcontractors (onsite and offsite) including scheduling, resource management and coordination of construction and start-up services as needed.
- Lead Big‑Room coordination meetings with construction teams
- Coordinate Level 2 installation QA checks, Level 3 point‑to‑point checkout, Level 4 functional testing, and Level 5 IST with internal and external stakeholders including commissioning authority
- Develop 3‑week look‑ahead schedules for automation, electrical, and network tasks; coordinate with GC master schedule
- Direct field crews on conduit / cable tray installation, panel mounting, device terminations, network bus terminations, and copper and fiber pulls
- On occasion the employee may be required to position self under or over equipment
- Champion NFPA 70E and OSHA compliance; chair daily toolbox and weekly safety stand‑downs

- Ability to interpret AE construction drawings, BAS shop drawings, manufacturers wiring diagrams, standards documentation, submittals and product data sheets
- Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E Qualified Person, PMP, NICET III/IV (Industrial Instrumentation), Rockwell CREST.
- Willing to work extended hours and night shifts during critical cutovers and IST windows.
- Frequently moving through office, critical facility and other environments (such as low temperatures, high temperatures and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind), including tight and confined spaces
- Project Controls: Proficient in working within construction management platforms and tools such as Procore, BIM 360/Autodesk Build, P6 or MS Project, and Power BI dashboards for field metrics.
- Multi‑discipline Expertise: Background as BAS technician, PLC programmer, and / or electrical foreman—with proven skill in low‑voltage terminations, conduit routing, loop testing, and network troubleshooting
- Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and / or OSHA training as required
- Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact
- Codes & Standards: Deep familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV, NFPA 70E, NEC, ISA 88/95, ISA/IEC 62443, UL 508A.
- Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meetings for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
- Frequently manipulating, moving or grasping small parts, devices or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
- Soft Skills: Authoritative leadership, decisive under schedule pressure, clear communicator with both trades and C‑suite clients.
- Up to 25% travel to other jobsite locations, this may include travel to any of the 50 US states
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
- Daily travel to project sites in local region for duration of projects
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
- Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or related field
- Ability to maintain jobsite and keep it organized
- Ability to follow company and site safety requirements
- Effective May 7, 2025, and in accordance with U.S. federal regulations for domestic air travel, a valid REAL ID (or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport) is required for travel associated with this position.
- Minimum of eight years of experience with hands-on installation, testing, validation, construction management, subcontractor management, and troubleshooting of PLC-based BAS and EPMS automation systems in mission critical buildings.
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
