Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Supervisor

Description

• Perform and oversee sample testing and analysis
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Keep accurate records and prepare reports as required
• Supervise laboratory staff and activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Manage inventory and supplies, and place orders when necessary

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Ability to pass drug and MVR screen.
• Organization and multi-tasking ability.
• A decent work ethic, diligence, and elevated level of personal integrity.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2 (preferred)
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Associate’s degree or Higher in Construction Technology, Construction Management or Related Engineering Field
• Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 or Concrete Strength Testing Technician (Required)
• Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1(required)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certifications:
• Familiarity with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture)
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
• Able to use a company laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role
• 1+ year of experience in a supervisory roles (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols
• Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 2 (preferred)
