Performs audits and analysis of the Jobs, Tri-M’s projects and work in conjunction with CFO, Controller, and Operation’s Managers to make necessary adjustments to ensure the integrity of each job.
Maintains the integrity of production reporting, WIP’s, and other job cost reports.
Assists with the month-end accounting close.
Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8-hour shifts.
Verifies open purchase orders and ensures accuracy through collaboration with the Purchasing Agents.
Preform pre-and post – close reconciliations of Job Billing Accounts to ensure proper posting to Business Units.
Works with Estimators, when requested, to pull production reporting from the Job Cost system so the Estimators have historical data to use with future estimates.
Assists CFO and Controller with explanation of margin adjustments for audits, bonding, and banking purposes.
Maintain and audit the Job Cost system to ensure accuracy.
In conjunction with the project teams, forecasts the cost at completion on large projects, forecast monthly revenues based on estimated cost by month, and records projections in Tri-M’s Job Cost system.
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
Ensures jobs are set up with standard phase codes, estimated quantity for each phase code, estimated hours, and estimated cost. The integrity of this information is important for production reporting and 360-degree reporting for the Estimating Department.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general Accounting with 3 years required to have been achieved in the construction industry.
Basic understanding of construction applications.
Advanced level computer literacy including word processing, formatting spreadsheets, processing emails and database management.
Strong ability to analyze project cost history including the project profit and loss statements and forecasting results.
Hearing adequate for phone use.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong knowledge with Work in Progress (WIP) Statements and associated percent complete calculations.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry, and filing.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize meeting deadlines and contribute positively in a team environment.
