- Implement corporate HSE policies, plans, and legislation while monitoring performance and suggesting improvements.
- Ensure client safety requirements are fully met.
- Coordinate with safety managers and contractors to enhance HSE management practices.
- Monitor contractors to verify implementation of legal and client‑required safety measures on site.
- Review and approve contractor‑submitted site safety, emergency, and related plans.

- Review and track contractors’ monthly HSE inspection reports.
- Lead monthly safety meetings, set targets for outstanding issues, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assess emergency preparedness, permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks, and HSE statistics per company standards.
- Analyze incident/accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Parsons is seeking an experienced Safety Engineer for our Dubai, UAE operations. In this role you will ensure safety plans comply with corporate policy, regional regulations and client requirements, while supporting the implementation of robust HSE management practices across projects.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, or a related engineering field, along with internationally recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid or Fire Safety. At least eight years of experience in highway, bridge and underpass safety engineering in the UAE, and a solid knowledge of federal laws, Dubai Municipality codes and RTA guidelines are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, or related engineering discipline with relevant safety courses.
- Minimum 8+ years of highway, bridge, and underpass safety engineering experience in the UAE.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety).
- Working knowledge of UAE federal laws, Dubai Municipality construction safety code, RTA circulars, and work‑zone traffic management manuals.
- Ability to attend physical interviews in the UAE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 auditing or related training.
