What you would be doing

- Assist in leading data acquisition, maintain accurate records and assist in maintaining quality and consistency of field data, data processing, deliverable creation, and data management.
- Liaise with clients and organisations throughout the lifecycle of projects
- Supporting and maintaining QHSE standards including BMS documentation
- Assist Project Managers in project technical matters
- Be a technical authority on survey equipment and software
- Line management of more junior staff
- Take the lead of research into new technologies and arrange system/software trials to keep Spectrum on the cutting edge
- Undertake data processing when required
- Undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time away from home on projects onshore and offshore
- Lead offshore surveys as a Party Chief
- Lead vessel mobilisations and calibrations
- Form part of the on call roster for weekend technical support
- Assist Processing and reporting managers with reporting, charting & data management
- Project Management of projects with intermediate complexity
- Continual training/development of junior staff and maintaining and updating training/procedural material
- Implementing best practices for handling, maintaining and storing survey equipment as per manufacturer's instructions or company guidance
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and company information
- Have lead a small team undertaking various marine survey tasks
- Providing a positive feedback loop to improve quality and practices

- High level of attention to detail
- Experience in at least one marine survey acquisition and processing software suite
- Experience with AutoCAD and understanding offsets/rotations to plan, perform and generate reports for Dimensional Control Surveys
- Experience of training and mentoring
- Have lead vessel mobilisations and calibrations
- Possess the energy, drive and commitment to further the work of the company
- A high level of competence in data processing, data aquisition, systems integration
- High level of computer literacy
- Have at least 3 years working onboard vessels undertaking marine survey operations
- Adhere to moral and ethical principles in all interactions
- Ability to PM intermediate - complex projects
- Being open and honest in communication and operations
