Responsible for delivering projects that exceed clients’ expectations as the lead commissioning consultant with a holistic understanding of multi-discipline sustainable design issues. On larger projects, you will manage junior staff and be accountable for their actions and performance. On occasion, client presentations will be required in addition to assisting the leadership group in promoting the firm.
- Support team mentoring and knowledge-sharing with junior staff.
- Assist in managing the commissioning process on behalf of the client.
- Conduct design reviews of MEP documents to confirm compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare commissioning plans, specifications, and network diagrams.
- Controls engineering.
- Document observations, findings, and report results to senior staff.
- Support project delivery under the guidance of a Team Leader or Senior Cx Consultant.
- Participate in presentations and promotional activities for the firm as appropriate.
- Review MEP submittals and documentation.
- Testing adjusting & balancing.
- Participate in and lead project meetings.
- Prepare pre-functional checklists and participate in functional performance testing.
- Manage the commissioning process on behalf of the client.
- Develop or contribute to systems manuals and review O&M documentation.

- Professional certification (PE, CET, Chartered Engineer, BCA, ASHRAE, NEBB, AABC) or eligibility for registration.
- Team player with leadership potential and willingness to take initiative.
- High level of Technical Proficiency in either:
- Engineering degree, diploma, or C.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or related field.
- Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- LEED AP designation or other sustainability credentials.
- 2-5 years of experience in construction, building systems, or commissioning.
- Solid understanding of commissioning principles and processes at an intermediate level.
- Experience with building controls and integration of MEP systems.
- Excellent computer skills and project management skills.
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems is essential; familiarity with other MEP systems an advantage.
- Project management experience or exposure to cost tracking and scheduling.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
