Business Development Sales Director

Description

• Work with Field Ops, Finance, and Executive leadership to ensure smooth project handoffs and alignment on customer delivery.
• Represent Cleanleaf at industry events, tradeshows, and webinars to promote our O&M capabilities and expand your network.
• From lead generation to contract close – including quoting, proposal development, and negotiation.
• Make regular, consistent contact with prospects and clients through calls, emails, site visits, conferences, and events.
• Engage decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders across the industry to open doors and close deals.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Identify and pursue O&M opportunities in the solar PV and BESS markets through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
• Maintain a robust and active sales funnel; update and track all activity in CRM.

Requirements

• May be required to travel up to 30% of the time.
• You understand the technical side enough to talk intelligently about PV plant performance, service scopes, and value propositions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• You know the O&M landscape – ideally with experience selling solar and/or BESS services or related technical offerings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and close complex, consultative sales
• Required to work in office conditions the rest of the time (remote is acceptable for this role).
• Proficiency in CRM and Presentation software

• Up to 30% travel for prospecting, conferences, and client meetings
• You have 10+ years of direct sales or operations experience in the solar PV industry, with a strong track record of closing deals.
• Direct experience in solar PV industry sales and/or O&M service sales
• You have a strong existing network in the solar industry and can hit the ground running.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
