
Intern will prepare and deliver a final presentation on their NZELI internship activities.
Collaborate with BBT’s Sustainability Lead to support the firm’s on-going sustainability initiatives.
Analyzing project data and developing sustainability metrics to inform design practices.
Entering and updating firm projects in the AIA 2030 DDx by March 31, 2026.
Participate in 1–3 Energy Trust-sponsored cohort sessions with other NZELI interns and mentors.
Updating BBT’s Sustainability Action Plan.
Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing internship work and outcomes.
BBT is seeking a motivated and creative Net Zero Emerging Leaders Architectural Intern
Availability to work 10–15 hours per week (minimum 120 hours over the internship period).
Strong design and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, organization, and clear communication.
Demonstrated interest in sustainable design, energy efficiency, and carbon-conscious architecture.
Willingness to engage in grant-specific activities including reporting, data entry, and cross-cohort collaboration.
Must be currently pursuing studies or a recent graduate in a relevant field (architecture, engineering, sustainability, or design-related discipline).
Internship activities must support BBT’s AIA 2030 Commitment (energy and operational carbon reporting).
Internship must be completed by March 31, 2026, to meet Energy Trust reporting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

This position is part of the Energy Trust of Oregon’s Net Zero Emerging Leaders Internship (NZELI) Grant Program, which provides support for paid internships focused on advancing firm commitments toward AIA 2030, MEP 2040, or SE 2050 goals.
Compensation: $25/hour
