Utilize CAD and design software to create construction details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits.
Convert legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs, and computer files into final plans and maps.
Visualize and illustrate concepts in 2‑D and 3‑D formats.
Apply algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to surveying tasks.
Perform assigned tasks under close supervision or detailed procedures.

The Indianapolis, IN office is seeking a survey intern on a part‑time, temporary, or co‑op basis. The role involves close supervision while assisting departments with CADD drawings, information gathering, and plan production. Relocation and housing are not provided.

Interns will learn to operate survey equipment such as mobile and stationary LiDAR, GPS, and robotic total stations, and will gain experience with innovative data‑collection methods on transportation projects throughout central Indiana.

Enroll in an accredited post‑secondary program; possess a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Show interest in transportation and infrastructure; be enrolled in technology, survey, or geomatics programs.
Complete at least one year of surveying coursework and have MicroStation or AutoCAD drafting experience.
Work in outdoor conditions, standing for long periods and performing repetitive motions.
