The Project Engineer will manage project engineering, financial reporting, and document control from a central office, focusing on schedules, budgets, vendor contracts, change orders, invoicing, correspondence logs, and RFIs. The role also provides technical support and direction for field and design‑based projects.
- Manage cathodic protection projects, including surveys, design, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Review and approve integrity management assessment reports.
- Lead AC interference modeling and mitigation system design projects.
- Prepare estimates for large‑scale cathodic protection initiatives.
- Use complex CAD software to draft utility system components and specialized equipment.
- Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and develop timelines for project completion.
- Translate technical design concepts into clear explanations for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, supervisors, financial experts, and project teams.
- Serve as liaison among customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
- Research and implement design improvements, administer work plans, and modify existing systems.
- Ensure quality control, documentation, and safety compliance throughout project lifecycles.

The position requires frequent physical activity in field environments, including bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in extreme weather conditions. Employees must have clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Hold AMPP (NACE) CP‑4 certification (PE license acceptable with relevant experience).
- Bring at least 10 years of industry experience in cathodic protection, corrosion control, or related fields.
- Demonstrate experience with scheduling, job cost accounting, and estimating contract changes.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
