Resident Services Coordinator

Description

The Resident Services Coordinator supports residents of subsidized multifamily properties by monitoring living conditions, coordinating programs that improve quality of life, and tracking the impact of those services. The role involves case management, community outreach, liaison work with property managers, and documentation to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

• Survey resident interests and host quarterly meetings
• Develop outcome‑based community work plans
• Coordinate impact programs such as after‑school tutoring, workforce development, health/nutrition, financial literacy, broadband access, and senior services
• Create communications plan using flyers, social media, automated calls, home visits, and event calendars
• Provide case management to prevent evictions, utility cut‑offs, and ensure food and health security
• Facilitate voter registration drives
• Track and report program effectiveness with department supervisor
• Liaise between community managers and residents for annual recertifications and paperwork assistance
• Participate in internal and external workgroups on civic activities and emerging neighborhood issues
• Provide crisis intervention and fundraising support for grants and special events
• Educate and advocate for residents on service availability, application procedures, and job training
• Develop and execute family development and parenting events
• Assist at‑risk households to prevent lease violations and evictions
• Serve as liaison during construction periods to ensure LIHTC compliance and assist impacted residents
• Coordinate non‑profit partners and community organizations for onsite or offsite programming
• Act as primary contact for residents, non‑profits, and city/state agencies for program registration and participation
• Represent residents at community meetings, tenant association events, and public forums
• Maintain day‑to‑day social services activities in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Maintain a resource directory of service providers and consistently document program activities and case notes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, social work, or related field (preferred)
• LMSW credential (preferred)
• AmeriCorps or VISTA experience welcomed
• Demonstrated volunteer and community involvement
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and listening skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems such as Family Metrics, Yardi, and Realpage
• Ability to present information to management, vendors, and staff
• Capability to meet tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables
• Collaborative, adaptable, and detail‑oriented communication style
• Strong written and oral communication skills
