Ensure timely and accurate capitalization of assets or reporting metrics in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.
Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections and funding requirements for ongoing projects.
Provide regular updates to management on project accounting for ongoing projects and any relevant information for newly entered contracts.
Identify and escalate project cost overruns or risks, and significant savings or opportunities.
Reconcile project expenditures against contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure appropriate cost coding and alignment with budgets.
Monitor and track capital project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts.
Utilize ERP system to maintain accurate records of project-related financial documentation, including invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation.
Assist with maintaining the internal control framework around projects.
Support internal and external audits related to capital projects and fixed assets.
Prepare and analyze monthly project financial reports, including variance analyses and performance metrics.
Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and financial controls related to project accounting.

Strong Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, notably ASC 606 and 842.
Integrity and commitment to maintaining financial compliance and controls
Knowledge of project management principles and cost control methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Well organized with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with team members and other departments at all levels within the organization.
3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in project accounting or in a capital-intensive industry.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Spanish speaker a plus.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems; IFS experience a plus.
Proactive mindset and problem-solving orientation
Strong understanding of capital expenditure accounting, cost control, and asset capitalization.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy
