Description

• Clean and maintain floors in plant areas and buildings.
• Launder clothing as required.
• Retrieve tools and materials from storerooms or external sources.
• Operate and clean plant vehicles, including automobiles, small trucks, sweepers, forklifts (≤10,000 lb capacity), and snowblowers.
• Use simple air‑operated and power‑driven tools.
• Inspect and test firefighting, emergency, and safety equipment; perform hydrostatic testing of fire hoses.
• Refill first‑aid kits as needed.
• Perform grounds maintenance such as clean‑up, snow removal, grass/shrubbery care, and trash removal.
• Conduct monthly safety inspections of motor vehicles.
• Paint walls, doors, handrails, and similar surfaces.
• Remove waste oil, hazardous waste, used solvents, and oily debris to proper holding areas and tanks.
• Assist various work groups as a helper.
• Operate weigh scale and prepare weigh slips for coal truck deliveries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors, including in adverse conditions.
• Ability to observe, learn, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Manual dexterity for using hand and power tools and performing simple mechanical tasks.
• Capability to wear approved respiratory equipment per regulations.
• Ability to obtain NERC clearance.
• Pass an entry‑level skills test.
• Valid Pennsylvania non‑commercial driver’s license.
