The Engineering Support Specialist provides logistical, administrative, and technical assistance to CSI Electric’s engineering team working on utility‑scale solar PV, battery energy storage systems, substations, and transmission lines. The role supports multiple engineering disciplines and acts as a central communication hub to improve throughput, documentation integrity, and technical knowledge throughout the project lifecycle.
The specialist coordinates deliverables with pre‑construction, formats and controls engineering documents, prepares reports and presentations, validates compliance, manages change documentation, schedules quality reviews and training, and assists project managers with kickoff meetings and pull‑plan coordination. They also maintain standards, template libraries, and support cross‑disciplinary integration of civil, structural, electrical, SCADA, and testing teams.
Candidates typically hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and bring 2–4 years of experience supporting design deliverables for commercial or utility‑scale renewable projects. Preferred experience includes solar PV, BESS, substations, SCADA, and industrial automation, along with strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
The position is based in a climate‑controlled office with occasional visits to construction sites, substations, and BESS yards, requiring limited travel and exposure to varied weather, noise, and industrial equipment. Physical demands may include prolonged sitting, standing, and occasional lifting or bending.
