The role serves as the primary liaison and airport/owner representative, directing and managing the project. Responsibilities include developing scope, creating the RFP, overseeing procurement of designers and contractors, and ensuring the project stays on schedule and within or below budget while meeting contractual obligations.
The manager will plan program goals, understand owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies, and supervise all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions. This includes working with team members and airport management to develop budgets and schedules, overseeing the Design Manager and Design Review Team, handling design issues, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and managing the punch‑list process.
Additional duties involve monitoring permitting, removing construction obstacles, maintaining documentation of scope and related agreements, and ensuring work complies with the latest plans, specifications, and approved changes.
Candidates must have at least 15 years of experience, preferably on transit projects, with experience on projects over $50 million and familiarity with design‑CMAR, design‑build, and design‑bid‑build delivery methods. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree and certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, or AICP are preferred. The salary range is $173,071.45 – $216,339.32, and the company encourages applicants who may not meet every qualification to apply.
