Principal Account Leader/Project Manager (Water/Wastewater)

Description

The role focuses on building and strengthening relationships with decision‑makers across municipal utilities and solid‑waste organizations, aiming to become a trusted advisor. The incumbent will develop a deep understanding of local utility and solid‑waste challenges, assess client needs, future project opportunities, and market conditions to improve positioning for upcoming pursuits.

They will lead pursuit plans, craft client engagement strategies, and take part in task‑order development and interview processes to secure new projects. Coordination with project managers ensures that planning, design, and construction administration deliver quality services on schedule, while the senior technical resource oversees water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid‑waste projects of varying scale.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in design or project management within water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, or solid waste sectors.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources engineering or a related field.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong technical engineering and management skills, including planning and design for municipal projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient technical writing and client presentation abilities.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with municipal clients.
• Preferred: Master's degree in a related field.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Environmental Sustainability Professional certification.
• Preferred: 8+ years of sales and account management experience.
