The Construction Manager role is full‑time, based in Houston, TX, and involves 90‑100% travel across multiple states, including possible weekend work. All travel expenses are covered by Olsson. The manager will review third‑party plan submittals, observe and document construction activities for compliance with railroad guidelines, manage daily correspondence with railroad clients in the field, and ensure contractors adhere to safety and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate coordinates effectively with internal and external railroad stakeholders, demonstrates strong interest in construction processes, and possesses experience in railroad construction or construction management. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s or associate degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred), a minimum of five years as an FRA‑213 qualified individual, proficiency in the General Code of Operating Rules, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
