Forklift Operator (1801)

Description

Position Summary: The operator moves products around the warehouse, uses RF scanners to track items, and ensures each load is secure and safely transported to its designated location.

• Operate a forklift to safely move products and pallets throughout the warehouse.
• Communicate discrepancies, product issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Scan products with a radio‑frequency scanner to verify correct locations and accurate labels.
• Maintain a clean and debris‑free work area.
• Anticipate business needs by grouping like products together and keeping them accessible.
• Complete Novo forklift training and follow all Novo safety requirements.
• Manually place stand‑up items in designated areas as needed.
• Meet physical demands including standing, reaching, walking, lifting up to 50 lb unassisted and 75‑100 lb with assistance, and working in seasonal weather and wood‑dust environments.
• Use proper PPE and company‑approved tools while remaining hazard‑aware.
• Apply basic math, interpersonal, and reasoning skills; read and follow written procedures and standard work instructions.

Physical Requirements: The role demands the ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, push, and pull various weights, withstand seasonal weather and wood‑dust exposure, and perform repetitive motions while using proper personal protective equipment.

• Be at least 18 years old and flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Preferred: Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing, operating forklifts with loads of 2,500 lb + (up to 6,500 lb), handling wide loads up to 18 ft, at least one year of forklift operation, and a high school diploma or GED.
