The Blade Technician role at GE Vernova involves trimming, scuffing, and reinforcing various blade types. The position requires working with pneumatic tools, chemicals, and heavy machinery to prepare and repair blades.
Technicians follow and adapt work instructions, scuff laminate surfaces, remove defects, apply glue to voids, and grind excess glass and resin. They also clean blade interiors, adhere to confined‑space plans, wear required PPE, and maintain 5S standards.
Candidates must be able to lift or carry up to 40 lb, push or pull heavy objects, stand for long periods on concrete, and operate hand and power tools. The role requires teamwork, individual work capability, respirator use, and either Lam I/II certifications or willingness to complete the practical training.
