The Digital Product Specialist role is a full‑time position based in Bristol (grade SNBG 08‑10). Reporting to Group Digital leaders and Defence senior sponsors, you will create and manage a deployment roadmap of digital capabilities that delivers both near‑term and long‑term value in line with the Group and Division strategy.
In this position you will work with product managers, architects, project managers, business analysts, subject‑matter experts, end users, ecosystem partners and digital suppliers to ensure the effective deployment of Defence‑differentiated applications. You will guide delivery teams toward right‑first‑time deployment, remove barriers, and support end‑user communities through change management, testing, training and ongoing product development to maximise adoption and long‑term utilisation.
The ideal candidate is a vibrant team player with a proven track record of identifying and driving digital improvements that create business value. You must have a strong stakeholder network, the ability to influence senior leaders, strategic yet pragmatic thinking, and excellent communication skills that simplify complex information for all audiences.
Preferred experience includes delivering digital products across varied projects, understanding the full project lifecycle and agile, waterfall or DevOps methods, and possessing leadership skills to coordinate diverse cross‑functional groups. Authority to make high‑value decisions and solid business acumen are also valued.
