

Specialist UK provider of passive fire protection: surveys, installations and maintenance of fire doors, glazing, curtains, stopping.
The position is for Fire Consultants / Fire Risk Assessors (FRA) covering the South Coast from Portsmouth to Canterbury. The role is sub‑contract based and requires proof of IFE/IFSM certification. Consultants will perform fire risk assessments, produce high‑quality reports and serve as the main point of contact with customers on‑site.
The consultant is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant assessments, maintaining high service quality, collaborating with the admin team, and staying current with fire legislation. They must ensure paperwork is precise and that best‑practice methods are applied throughout each assessment.
Candidates must have thorough knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related British Standards, as well as experience across commercial, industrial and domestic buildings. Strong communication, relationship‑building skills and ability to organise work to meet deadlines are essential. A full UK driving licence and proficient computer skills are also required.
Essential requirements include proven experience in fire risk assessments, membership level accreditation with IFE, IFSM, or equivalent competent risk assessor registration, high literacy and written/verbal communication abilities, and capability to plan and organise workloads. Desirable qualifications encompass additional certifications from recognised bodies such as FPA, FIA, NEBOSH Fire, and IND1.
