The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems within a DCS-based environment. The role requires a technically skilled and independent professional with hands-on experience in process instrumentation, excellent communication abilities, and flexibility to work in shifts, including night operations and plant emergencies.
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Proficiency in installation, calibration, and testing of process instruments.
- Strong knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow instruments, control valves, and positioners.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair control loops and systems independently.
- Familiarity with safety and operational procedures in industrial environments.
- Willingness to work in day and night shifts and extend working hours during plant emergencies as per site requirements.
- Competency in reading and understanding P&ID and E&I loop drawings.
- Minimum 5–8 years of on-site experience working on DCS-based control systems (mandatory).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to coordinate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in Oil & Gas Field.
- ITI or Diploma in Instrumentation & Electronics from a recognized institution.
