Description

• Lead property staff by interviewing, onboarding, training, approving timesheets, and conducting quarterly and annual performance discussions.
• Drive team performance, provide feedback to underperforming associates, and coordinate disciplinary actions with HR.
• Deliver ongoing office‑staff training on leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and daily operational tasks.
• Motivate associates through recognition programs, training, and team‑building activities to boost morale and productivity.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Complete month‑end and year‑end financial reporting and produce monthly budget variance reports within ±10 % per line item.
• Promote resident satisfaction by promptly responding to complaints, questions, and service requests and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of resident service requests according to company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards for resident interactions.
• Analyze market and economic trends and partner with marketing to implement short‑ and long‑range leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Follow eviction procedures, including notice requirements, court representation, and facilitating proceedings as needed.
• Manage client/owner relationships by meeting owners, conducting property tours, providing updates, and responding to owner requests.

Requirements

The Community Manager oversees all business operations at one of our apartment communities. The role requires strong resident‑relations and interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and 1‑2 years of relevant experience, along with at least three years of multi‑family property management experience. Strong leadership, teamwork, professional communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and property‑management software are essential, and a valid driver’s license is required.

The position may involve extended periods of desk work, occasional stair climbing, and the ability to lift files or supplies up to 20 pounds. Work is primarily conducted in an on‑site office, though occasional outdoor exposure to elements and a noisy, bright environment may occur.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 1‑2 years relevant experience; 3+ years multi‑family property management experience.
• Strong leadership and management abilities with effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property‑management software.
• Valid, current driver’s license.
