Work with support leaders to develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operational issues and improve product quality
Review and maintain manpower levels to meet desired production output while maintaining targeted efficiency
Promote and monitor Health and Safety programs though the support of current policy and procedures. Take an active role in the elimination of hazardous conditions in developing a safer working environment
Manage the capacity of the production departments to ensure capacity both in equipment and resources to meet requirements as set out by the Master Schedule. Report all deviations to the Plant Manager
Enforce and support all company's policies and operating procedures.
Develop and maintain operational budgets for each functional production department. Obtain and review budget result with budget owners monthly, identify deviations and ensure corrective actions are taken
Work with Human Resource in all efforts to manage absenteeism with the production units.
Responsible for the successful operation of assigned shifts within the KMG facility
Responsible for the completion of employee performance reviews (EPR's), MBO's, and ensuring the department reviews are completed on time.
Conduct staff meetings and prepare to provide feedback to the staff on issues such as manning requirements, production outputs, safety, labor relations, and all available actual to budget numbers
Identify training requirements. Review and develop programs to meet operational requirements both short and long term. Ensure continual development of both staff and employees meet the changing facility needs
Promote Labour / Management relation through the settlement of issues and grievances in a timely manner
Manage the superintendent team within assigned departments/shifts and ensure production activities and priorities are properly executed to meet department goals and company expectations.
Responsible to ensure all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over Financial Reporting.
Participate in the development of capital budgets and successful implementation of new or upgraded equipment
Remain current with industry and production technologies to advance the manufacturing process within the facility

A minimum of 5 years' plant operations experience in a leadership role
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and research skills
Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office); relational databases; spreadsheets; and word processing programs. Working knowledge or Oracle or other similar ERP system
Four (4) year college or university program degree or certificate; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
A proven history of safety results and safety leadership in a manufacturing environment
