The engineer will support multi‑discipline project design teams by producing engineering calculations, analyses, and reports. Responsibilities include preparing design inputs such as electrical site plans, power and lighting layouts, one‑line diagrams, wiring schedules, and assembly drawings, as well as generating procurement and construction specifications.
The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Candidates must hold a BSEE or MSEE from an ABET‑accredited program and have at least five years of progressive electrical engineering experience, ideally within a nuclear environment.
Preferred expertise includes knowledge of NEC, UL508, the IES Lighting Handbook, and proficiency (or the ability to learn) load‑flow and arc‑flash analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools, as well as lighting analysis software like Visual and AGI32. A Professional Engineer license and experience with DOE, commercial, or Navy projects are valued but not required.
