Work independently as a project engineer on small to midsized projects and assist senior engineers on larger projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects.
Direct engineersintraining, designers, and technicians.
Plan, organize, and coordinate with other technical and clerical professionals on multidisciplinary teams.
Assist in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, including the planning and environmental clearance process of a project.
Participate in proposal development and other marketing activities.
Serve in a technical role under a Project Manager.
Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for railroad track and civil projects for private and publicsector clients. Civil and railroad design tasks may include project layout, geometrics, site, drainage, and utilities, calculating quantities, reviewing construction submittals, and coordination with other disciplines.
