Assist in managing and planning large maintenance projects across various aggregates locations.
Ensure safety compliance; enforce all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Conduct daily safety inspections and investigations as needed.
Ensure all subcontractors adhere to CRH, MSHA and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Works with company Safety professionals and assures that assigned contractors for projects conform to required health and safety procedures and practices, with a focus on risk assessment.
Contributes to strategic planning by evaluating and projecting future facility needs and proposing options to achieve them
Develops and monitors department budget; orders equipment and supplies and monitors inventory; makes requests for capital outlay expenditures as needed.
Directs, supervises and oversees production; coordinating daily activities to meet production goals, manage material flow, and ensure the quality of material meets specifications.
Wear proper safety equipment while at plant sites
Ensures the proper disposal of hazardous and controlled wastes in compliance with regulations and guidelines; works directly with outside agencies such as MSHA, OSHA, MIOSHA, and local and state health departments as required
Coordinate maintenance planning; oversee the use of machinery and equipment, coordinate daily inspections, and ensure preventive maintenance is performed to minimize downtime.
Directs, supervises, and evaluates team; set performance expectations, provide training, and evaluate performance.
Manage logistics; coordinate with other departments, vendors, and external carriers to ensure efficient operations, including the loading/unloading of materials and timely delivery.
Prepares specifications for physical plant projects; estimates costs of equipment, materials, labor, and supplies; prepares bid specifications for projects, equipment, and contracted services; oversees site and building projects performed by outside contractors
Develops, implements, and supervises preventative maintenance and renovation programs for plant, buildings, grounds, mechanical and electrical, utility, and safety and security systems
